Biker Sunglasses - They’re Not Goggles, Are They?

Biker sunglasses are actually ordinary sunglasses with special lenses and anyone can wear these sunglasses. They received that name due to their popularity among those who like to do a lot of biking and who want the best possible protection for their eyes. Biker sunglasses have polarized lenses that neutralize the glare from the street as the sun reflects off it, making it much easier for you to see.

If you notice the bikers in races such as the Tour de France, you will realize they are wearing sunglasses. These sun glasses have nylon frames that fit snug to the face and retain their original shape when you take them off. These biking sunglasses also have shatterproof frames because no matter what kind of biking you do - pedal biking or motorcycle riding- small bits of rock and debris can flick up from the wheels. When you add this to the protection from UV rays that you get from biker sunglasses, you are doubly protected.

All the leading designers of sunglasses manufacture biker sunglasses. Some of the names that immediately spring to mind include Oakley, Costa del Mar and Arnette. The sun glasses from these designers are suitable as biking sunglasses, motorcycle sunglasses or fishing sunglasses. In fact they are designed for use in extreme sports and will stand up to rugged conditions.

The main feature of the biker sunglasses is the polarized lenses. The polarizing feature helps to reduce the glare from the sun allowing you to look right into it and still see where you are going. These biking sunglasses are also great for playing baseball and when you are enjoying winter sports.

When you are shopping for biker sunglasses, look for lenses that have at least 95% UV protection. Along with looking cool when you wear biking sunglasses, you also have to protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun. This is the intention behind the UV rating. When you order your designer sun glasses online, you can check the rating of each pair of sunglasses, so you know exactly what protection you have. You also have a wider selection and can even have your prescription added to the lenses. Now you don’t have to stumble around because you can’t see and pretend that the lens color is too dark.

Biker sunglasses, for total protection for your eyes, cycling or motorcycling.

Plus Size Formal Dresses - There Are Places To Go To Get Them.

So you have that special evening planned and you don’t have a
thing to wear! Well just go online and start shopping for your
plus size formal dresses. Not only will you find what you’re
looking for, but the online retailers of plus size clothing will
also provide you with many tips on what to wear with plus size
formal dresses, such as shoes and scarves and tips on makeup.
They will provide you with any information you would need for
that special evening.

You will find many styles and colors for plus size formal wear,
but a formal dinner is one of the easiest things to dress for.
Try a plain black halter style dress. These dresses just scream
to be accessorized. Try some metallic heels for a very elegant
classic look, add a heart shaped necklace and you’re ready to
go. You can experiment with the accessories and dress yourself
in style. Just don’t overdo it with the plus size formal
dresses. Simple is best to give you that” I’ve got it all” look.

There are other options in formal wear plus size. You can go all
out with the real glamorous look in plus size formal dresses and
add drama by wearing a twist front halter, which is readily
available in plus size formal dresses.

There will be no need for a necklace with this style. Just add
earrings and a bracelet and you’re on your way to an evening of
fun and relaxation knowing you are looking “good”.

You can also wear a satin dress but be sure it is not a form
fitting plus size. Satin has a way of showing all the wrong
things, even in plus size dresses. However, it does look very
elegant and sexy when worn properly. Go all the way by wearing
red or a jewel tone to make you look and feel fabulous.

Keep in mind that in plus size formal dresses you have to stick
with the A line or the low waist dress in order to pull this
off.

Then there is the floaty chiffon style available in plus size
formal wear. Again you have to be careful in plus size not to
wear too much of a layered or ruffled look. This can add pounds
to your look and defeat the purpose of looking your best.

So go ahead and give it your all, show them who you are in the
formal evening gown that you’re wearing. You will turn heads as
you enter the room and those heads will turn all for the right
reason and none of them will have anything to do with the fact
that you wear plus size formal dresses.

If you’re a plus size lady there is still a world of choices in
plus size formal dresses.

Return to the Garden of Eden

intro to the steps of returning to the garden of eden. that perfect place that is self
Return to the Garden of Eden

Everyone has their own idea of what the Garden of Eden was or would be like if only they could see it today. No matter our beliefs, thoughts or ideas about religion we all have some sort of image of what perfection is. And while these thoughts and ideas will be as varied and unique as each of us, the phrase “Garden of Eden” can trigger these thoughts and ideas within us no matter how vague and undefinable they may be.

Return to The Garden of Eden is a series of articles that subscribes to the thought that “self” in our orginal form is this perfection. That Creator in his infinate wisdom did actually create us in his own image. And in doing so gave us each our own personal Garden of Eden in which we could dwell. Where everything is perfect and when we live in the state that we were created (as was his intent) are the image of perfection.

Yet somehow we forgot. Somehow we lost sight of this garden of self. We lost sight of just how unique and special we as individuals are. We became human doings instead of human beings. We seek so badly to find peace, yet we run from it as we run from self. We look to outside things to fill up inside needs and we get hurt. For as we look to another to make us whole we become dependent upon their acceptance of us. We seek to find the place where we belong instead of embrasing our individual spirit. Many of us spend a lifetime searching for the right person instead of striving to become that.

What went wrong? When did we get so lost? And does it really matter? In Return to the Garden of Eden we no longer search for rights and wrongs. We no longer try to remember the source of our dysfunctions in order to find the person to blame. Life and our participation in it is no longer a blame game. Its about healing. Its about returning to self. That special and unique spirit you were orginally. In order to Return to the Garden of Eden often times we need to un-learn a lifetime of unhealthy habits and thinking. We need to re-plow our garden that has become infested with dysfunctional thinking and actions. Expose the roots of all these hurts, pains and fears to the sunlight so they may be seen for what they are and then removed as one would who was preparing a vegtable garden for planting would remove the rocks and weeds. Unhealthy actions are like weeds in the garden. They grow wild and fast choking out all orginal thoughts, ideas and any healthy concepts we may have of self.

The first article in this series is “Where to Plant” will address the most powerful gift that Creator has given us. The one gift that is above all others. As special and unique individual spirits we all have our own gifts from creator. These individual special, unique gifts are ours alone to use and share with others on this journey we call life. It is in the Garden of Eden that we find these gifts and the ability to use them. However, there is one gift that was above even those. One gift that was so awesome that it was given to all. No matter your spiritual beliefs, your religious beliefs or lack of them. Each has recieved the greatest gift of all and we use it daily in every single thing we do. Knowingly or not. And it is in the misuse and abuse of this gift that we strayed from our own personal Garden of Eden and it is in the coming to understand its power as a gift from Creator and the proper use of it that we will return.

In “Where to Plant” we will address the gift “Power of Choice”.

How long will your pet live?

The pet food industry, a billion-dollar, unregulated operation,
feeds on the garbage that otherwise would wind up in landfills
or be transformed into fertilizer. The hidden ingredients in a
can of commercial pet food may include road kill and the
rendered remains of cats and dogs. The pet food industry claims
that its products constitute a “complete and balanced diet” but,
in reality, commercial pet food is unfit for human or animal
consumption.

“Vegetable protein”, the mainstay of dry dog foods, includes
ground yellow corn, wheat shorts and middlings, soybean meal,
rice husks, peanut meal and peanut shells (identified as
“cellulose” on pet food labels). These often are little more
than the sweepings from milling room floors. Stripped of their
oil, germ and bran, these “proteins” are deficient in essential
fatty acids, fat-soluble vitamins and antioxidants. “Animal
protein” in commercial pet foods can include diseased meat, road
kill, contaminated material from slaughterhouses, fecal matter,
rendered cats and dogs and poultry feathers. The major source of
animal protein comes from dead-stock removal operations that
supply so-called “4-D” animals-dead, diseased, dying or
disabled-to “receiving plants” for hide, fat and meat removal.
The meat (after being doused with charcoal and marked “unfit for
human consumption”) may then be sold for pet food.

Rendering plants process decomposing animal carcasses, large
road kill and euthanized dogs and cats into a dry protein
product that is sold to the pet food industry. One small plant
in Quebec, Ontario, renders 10 tons (22,000 pounds) of dogs and
cats per week. The Quebec Ministry of Agriculture states that
“the fur is not removed from dogs and cats” and that “dead
animals are cooked together with viscera, bones and fat at 115
C (235 F) for 20 minutes”.

The US Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary
Medicine (CVM) is aware of the use of rendered dogs and cats in
pet foods, but has stated: “CVM has not acted to specifically
prohibit the rendering of pets. However, that is not to say that
the practice of using this material in pet food is condoned by
the CVM.”

In both the US and Canada, the pet food industry is virtually
self-regulated. In the US, the Association of American Feed
Control Officials (AAFCO) sets guidelines and definitions for
animal feed, including pet foods. In Canada, the most prominent
control is the “Labeling Act”, simply requiring product labels
to state the name and address of the manufacturer, the weight of
the product and whether it is dog or cat food. The Canadian
Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and the Pet Food
Association of Canada (PFAC) are voluntary organizations that,
for the most part, rely on the integrity of the companies they
certify to assure that product ingredients do not fall below
minimum standards.

The majority-85 to 90% the pet food sold in Canada is
manufactured by US-based multinationals. Under the terms of the
US-Canada Free Trade Agreement, neither the CVMA nor PFAC
exercises any control over the ingredients in cans of US pet
food.

Pet food industry advertising promotes the idea that, to keep
pets healthy, one must feed them commercially formulated pet
foods. But such a diet contributes to cancer, fatal diseases,
skin problems, allergies, hypertension, kidney and liver
failure, heart disease and dental problems.

Keep Your Wedding on Budget without being Cheap

There’s no doubt about it, weddings can be expensive; the cost these days is between twenty to twenty-five thousand dollars on average, which can put couples off. There is no need for you to spend this amount on your wedding when other options exist; remember that just because it’s a cheap wedding does not mean that it cannot be done with style. All you need is a few cost saving ideas to point you in the right direction; meaning your special day is possible but without the high price tag.

Hand Me Down Hand Made Wedding Gowns

A hand made wedding dress which is the norm these days comes at a cost; other options are available, including buying a previously owned dress. Selling previously owned wedding dresses is an area which is becoming more popular; when a bride-to-be realizes she can have a quality handmade dress for half the cost of a new one or even renting it for the day, this begins to make sense.

Wedding Reception Preparations

The wedding reception is normally the biggest expense and where costs can get out of hand; with close to 200 people attending, the reception is the first place to make your cheap wedding more of a reality. Don’t invite everyone you know, in particular relatives you haven’t seen since you were a child; as far as the meal is concerned why not have a buffet instead of a full, waited on, three course meal.

The venue of the wedding reception can also be somewhere less expensive than the local golf club or hotel; using a small club for example will mean the drinks bill is less by only catering for wine, beer and soft drinks at the bar.

The Wedding Photographer

The obvious choice is to shop around for the best rates, but look at hiring the photographer just for the service; ask family members and friends to take photos of the reception - most will be more than happy to do this. Some people save money by dispensing with the professional photographer entirely; using a friend or relation may sound strange at first but you can guarantee one of them is a keen amateur photographer.

Cheaper Original Wedding Invites

Other areas where you can be assured of saving money is wedding invitations and other stationery; today’s home computers and printers are able to provide near professional results. With sophisticated customization tools you’ll be able to enter your own text and preview it before you print; so as not to make any costly mistakes, all from the benefit of your probably underused PC.

The Wedding Flowers

If you want to reduce the cost of flowers, then how about this for an option; why not visit the local flower wholesaler where huge savings are possible, then all that’s needed is a little imagination when it comes to the display.

Family Ties - When to Let Go

Ruth consulted with me because she was confused about what to do regarding her mother, her brother, and her son.

From the time Ruth was born, she never felt like she belonged in her family. Her mother ignored Ruth, obviously preferring her brother, and consistently allowed her brother to beat Ruth up. Ruth had some connection with her father, but he was a weak man and never stood up for her or protected her.

Ruth was a loving child and tried in any way she could to please her mother and brother, to no avail. She could never understand why her family didn’t like her.

As an adult, she married an emotionally unavailable man, a man very much like her mother. As with her mother and brother, she tried in many ways to get his love and never succeeded. Her son, Dylan, was eight years old when they divorced.

Dylan always seemed to prefer his father, and finally went to live with his father when he was sixteen. Once again, Ruth was completely in the dark regarding why her son didn’t like her. She had been such a devoted mother, so why was he rejecting her?

Ruth finally married again, this time to a loving man, and had another child. Her current family was totally different from her previous family and from her family of origin. However, she still hoped to have a relationship with her mother. She would send her mother birthday and Christmas cards, but rarely heard from her. The final blow that sent her to seek my help came when she found out that her son had gotten married without telling her, and that her brother had moved her mother into a nursing home and sold everything without telling her.

Ruth was a shining light of love. Her eyes, her smile, her gestures all radiated love and compassion. Her deeply gentle and peaceful nature was evident at first glance.

“Why? Why don’t they like me?” she asked.

“Because you are a giver and they are takers,” I told her. ‘Givers care about others, while takers just want to take from others. You can never give enough to a taker to receive any caring back, because they don’t like themselves. They reject themselves and try to get others to give to them. Because they have emotionally abandoned themselves, they are angry at others for not giving enough to them. Your mother and brother were united in their taking from you, as were your first husband and son. They look at you and see a fountain of love coming from you and they want it, but they are incapable of receiving it. Your light contrasts with their darkness and they hate you for it.”

“But what can I do?”

“Nothing, other than not be around them. They will suck the life out of you if you allow them to spend time with you. I know you care about them, but they are incapable of caring about themselves or you, so you have to let them go. It is not in your highest good to be with people who are incapable of valuing you - who just want to take from you.”

“But can’t I help them?”

“No, because they are not asking for help. I know you have believed that if you just love them enough, they will heal and love you back, but this will never happen because they are not open to your love. They feel inadequate in the face of your open heart and their closed hearts, and they take their self-judgment out on you. There is nothing you can to do to help them open their hearts. Only they can do that. It is unlikely your mother or brother will ever open their hearts, but perhaps your son will in time. He will come to you if he does.”

“But I have such a great life now. Isn’t it selfish of me to just let them go?”

“No, it is self-responsible. It is not loving to yourself to be around people who treat you badly.”

Ruth understood. She felt sad, but relieved. She finally saw that all she could do was pray for them to open their hearts.
